Titan Staff News
Week of March 30th
Titans,
Thank you all for holding steadfast during a very difficult week. Your ability to engage students and uphold the expectations for learning under a high-pressure situation is commendable. I applaud you all for a job well done.
We enter into "STAAR Season" this week. I remember the worry and angst as you watch the students on testing day. Rest assured they will do well. I see what you do in your classrooms on a daily basis. I am a firm believer in solid, intentional instruction - not rushed STAAR prep and cramming. We will prevail and our students will show success.
Have a great week,
Kim

Important Information
- Thank you to Katy Barrey as she assisted me on Wed of this past week!
- No jeans passes on STAAR testing days. Thanks for complying!
- SHHHHHH! Please assist us in maintaining a quiet testing environment on Monday and Tuesday.
- Spring has sprung! Keep an eye out for dress code. All shorts and skirts are required to be mid-thigh. If you have a question, ask Barker for an official ruling.
- It's that time of year where we watch our personal days on Fridays. Please plan ahead as much as you possibly can.
- Be sure to wish our kiddos trying out for soccer this week good luck!
The NISD Board of Trustees recently adopted the above Profile of an Educator. I encourage you to review the copy above and discuss your thoughts with your PLC. While I know the expectations in NISD are steep, you all are well above the standard. Proud to call you Titans!
