Updates and Reminders
Formal Observation season is upon us:) Check the calendar in my office for dates!
We are keeping a close eye out for your REACH materials. As soon as we receive them, we will place them in your mailbox.
Ms. Pena is on the lookout for a cubby shelf. (A place for her students to store their journals.) If you have a cubby shelf in your classroom that you are not using...please let Ms. Pena know.
Safety Drills
During a fire drill, remind your classroom that they should be in two lines. In the main building, two classrooms (four lines) should use the stairwell at the same time to exit. The last person in your line should be directed to close the classroom door.
During a Lockdown drill, remember to stay away from windows. If your closet has a window, perhaps cover it with a piece of chart paper during the lockdown.
Most importantly, stay calm. Students look to us for example:)
Please review the ELSA document regularly. At your earliest convenience, take your classroom to the "Shelter in Place" area designated for your classroom and discuss with them the procedures for "Shelter in Place".

ESPecially for ESPs
Mr. J., Mr. Parra, and I would like to meet with playground/recess staff (both morning and recess staff) to discuss our plan for using the equipment.
We will meet at 1:40 on Monday, October 1st in the teachers' lounge. Please be prompt.
A message from our Change Champion!
On October 1st, The Sandbox will open for all current IMPACT users.
The Sandbox is a place to 'play' in Aspen before it goes live. Our Aspen training starts next Thursday during Grade Levels. And so do 'Sandbox Thursday Jean Days.'
So feel free to wear jeans and get ready to try out The Sandbox. If you'd like to login ahead of Grade Levels next week, check your email from me (Jodi) with a flyer about how to login, what to expect, and lots of helpful information.
