A Note from the Principal
Today I had the pleasure of watching our kindergartners graduate and become first graders, and next week our eighth graders will graduate and prepare for the next step in their educational journeys. I hope that you will be able to join us for our Pass It On Mass on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. as we watch our eighth graders pass on the light of leadership to our seventh graders. It is truly one of the highlights of our school year and filled with emotion. Father Lane also shares a special blessing for each grade level.
Also, please be sure to read the letter regarding the reconfiguration of some classes for next year which can be found below.
We have just a few more days together before the summer, and I pray that these last days are filled with fun and friendship!
Peace and blessings,
Diane Raguz, Principal

Important Message from Schoolbelles
Global supply-chain issues that are affecting everything from computer chips to baby formula may also impact the delivery of school uniform apparel for the start of the school year in August.
"The slow-down in the supply chain that started in late 2020 due to COVID-19 is continuing two years later," explained Mr. Bruce Carroll, owner of Schoolbelles, SPB's longtime partner for uniform apparel. "Raw goods that used to take two months to arrive are now taking six to eight months. In some cases the delay is 12 months," Mr. Carroll said.
Mr. Carroll urges all families to place their uniform orders early to reduce the very real possibility of frustration and disappointment when school begins on August 24. Our school code is S0099.

Tennis shoes, sandals, backless shoes, moccasins or ballerina slippers are not part of the basic uniform. Heels of shoes may not be higher than one inch. Saddle shoes are acceptable. Tennis shoes, track shoes, hiking shoes, moccasins or boots are not part of the basic uniform. **Note: Kindergartners have the option to wear tennis shoes with Velcro closings. No laces, please.

Playground Volunteers Needed-All Grades
We are asking that each family (mom, dad, grandma, etc.) choose at least two days to volunteer each time slot being 11:15 am-12:50 pm. There are many, many time slots open! We are so grateful for the help!
This is a great way for you to interact with your child and his/her classmates during the school day! Recess Volunteers should arrive to school at 11:10 and check in at the office. Duties will include supervising students at recess, escorting the students to and from the school doors. Volunteers will be with one school staff member each day to help direct.
Remember that after your two volunteer time slots, you are done for the year, as each month is assigned to a different grade.
Thank you again for your time and service to the students and teachers of SPB! Simply click on the following links to sign up: All Grades (June)
Our sincere thanks to the following parents and grandparents who were able to volunteer during the month of May: Mrs. Lindsey Colecchia, Mrs. Debbie Bergert, Mrs. Jennifer Burk, Mrs. Maggie Cavelli, Mrs. Janelle Washington, Mrs. Lindsey Ranells, Mrs. Rachel Cahill, Mrs. Angela Sebesy, Mrs. Meghan D'Angelo, and Mrs. Toni Perk.

What is the Angel Scholarship Fund?
New Ohio Scholarship Tax-Credit Program Lets You “Turn Taxes into Tuition” by directing Your Tax Dollars to our Catholic School Students
Through the Angel Scholarship Fund, you can now contribute funds that will be used to provide tuition assistance for students to attend our Catholic schools, for which you may receive a 100% Ohio income tax credit of up to $750 ($1,500 if married filing jointly) against your 2022 state tax liability. In other words, the state of Ohio allows you to "spend" some of the state income taxes you must pay anyway to provide tuition assistance for students seeking an education in our Catholic schools. This SHORT VIDEO explains how easy it is to contribute to the Angel Scholarship Fund.
