Look at lady liberty! isn't she cool? Why yes, yes she is. The statue is made up of 6,200 pure pounds of copper. Copper's element symbol is CU and it's atomic number is 29. The atomic weight of copper is 63.546 g.mol. Copper is a transitional metal. It is very commonly used. Like for the penny and it was used to make the Statue of Liberty, like I said before.

History:
Copper is said to be found over 10,000 years ago. It was discovered in the middle east. There is no definite founder of copper. The Romans said to have found it in 9000 B.C., the Iraqis have said to have found copper in 8700 B.C., the Balkans, and many more.
