The history of Abraham, Moses, David and Solomon

Abraham

Abraham, father of the Jews was born in Ur in 2000 B.C.E. In 1950 B.C.E Abraham left Ur and went to Cannan. Abraham is the father of Judaism. A covenant means that the Jews would set an example by their actions. Abrahams ultimate sacrifice was having to kill his son.

Moses

The exodus: the pharoh allows Israelites to go free. terrifying plagues, or outbreaks of disease and destruction, rained down on the Egyptians. water turned into blood. frogs, lice, and insects swarmed over Egypt. moses parted the sea with a walking stick. Moses led the Israelites out of slavery.

David

In Davids time [1000 B.C.E] the Israelites were at war with the Philistines. David defeated Goliath with only a slingshot. Solomon was Davids son.

Solomon

David was Solomon's dad. Solomon ruled at around 965 B.C.E. Solomon's claim to fame was building a magnificent temple in Jerusalem to the house of the Ark of the Covenant and to serve as the center of Jewish warship.
