WSD Belonging and Culture Family Survey
As part of the WSD’s ongoing efforts to meet the goals within the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP), district surveys will be administered to students in grades K-12, families, and staff. The surveys are designed to solicit feedback about the sense of belonging created within each building as well as perspectives regarding building/department culture. Each school and department within the district will use this survey data to understand the current reality and to make improvements moving forward.
Families may begin taking the survey by clicking here. The survey will remain open through Jan. 20.
The district windows for students to take the surveys are Jan. 30-Feb. 10 and May 1-19.
For more information regarding these surveys, including logistics about the administration of the surveys, a preview of the surveys, and information on how to opt out, please check out our WSD Belonging and Culture Survey page.

LHS Yearbook News!
Our 2023 Talon yearbook staff became finalists for a 2022 Pacemaker Awards. This is a big win for these students, being finalists for the first time in Liberty history. Only 3 schools from Missouri were finalists among 44 schools across the nation.
The National Pacemaker Awards are awards for excellence in American student journalism, given annually since 1927. The awards are generally considered to be the highest national honors in their field, and are unofficially known as the "Pulitzer Prizes of student journalism."
Congratulations Mr. Barker, the WSD Teacher of the Year!

Need Help?
If you need extra help please consider these opportunities.
- Meet with the teacher before or after school. Even 10 minutes every day adds up to an extra 50 minutes of learning for you each week. Many times it is a one-to-one ratio with the teacher during these times.
- Visit your teacher during their office hours throughout Soar Time (Two 30-minute opportunities are offered weekly). Soar Time Teacher Office Hours Schedule
- Ask to see your teacher during Thursday Nest Time (pre-arrange prior to 2 pm on the Wednesday before Nest Time).
- Attend after-school Academic Assist in room 122 from 2:20 pm - 3:20 pm Monday - Thursday.
- Email your teacher to ask specific questions about assignments that you are struggling to complete.
Taking advantage of all of the above suggestions would lend you over ELEVEN hours of extra help a week!
