VIA ALC 2018
Post-Program Newsletter
We Miss You!
Dear VIA Alumni,
I hope this message finds you well, and you're enjoying a good start to your new semester back at home! This past summer was such an amazing experience that I know will stay with me for a long time. I will miss you all a lot until I see you again!
I remember after my first time studying abroad, it took me a long time to realize how much that experience helped me grow. I encourage you to reflect on your ALC experience on your own and with friends to help you better understand what this experience meant for your personal, professional, and academic growth.
In this newsletter, you'll find instructions on how to request an official transcript from Stanford and also links to our different alumni communities so you can stay in touch and learn about cool events around the world!
I can't wait to see you again soon!
Best,
Yuki
How to Request a Stanford Transcript
Login using your SUNet ID (NOT the number on your Stanford ID card.)
Next click on the “Student" tab.
Under the "Academics" section, select the dropdown menu labeled “other academic.”
From the list of options, select “Request Official Transcript” and click the button next to the menu with two right arrows
To request an electronic transcript:
Select “1. Electronic Transcript” under “Select Processing Options”
Select “Send Electronically” under “select Recipient Information” section
Next, enter your contact information in the “email address” box
To send to yourself, select “send to myself,” then select “Primary” under the “email type” drop down menu. Your email should automatically be entered.
To send it to someone else (or to send it to a different email than what is on file), select “send to third party.” Enter the email address, then select “submit.”
To request a paper transcript
Select “Mail Second Business Day” under “Select Processing Option” category.
Select “Home” under “Address Type”
If the address is not showing correctly, then click “Edit Address,” make any necessary changes, and click “OK.” Make sure the country is also correct. If it is showing “United States,” change it to your country.
After you have the correct mailing address, then click the “Submit” button.
Note: In case you encounter problems when requesting your transcript, you need to file a Help Request online from https://remedyweb.stanford.edu/helpsu/helpsu.
Since transcripts are personal, Stanford DOES NOT allow VIA to request one on your behalf.
