Good Evening Bishop Woods Families. This is Ms. Crisci with some updates:

First, I hope all mothers, guardians, and caregivers had a very special Mother’s Day!

Parents, we are down to the last 30 days of school and I am sure our students are excited for summer break that is on the horizon. We have events planned for all grades. Please encourage your child to remain focused and continue to reinforce behavioral and academic expectations, so all students can participate in the activities and end the year with a strong finish.

Smarter Balanced Assessment

Our SBA testing continues this week. Our students have been working very hard...I am so proud of their efforts in completing this assessment.

School Climate Survey

School Climate Survey

The district is asking all families to participate in the school climate survey. We value your input and it is important for us to gather feedback about your experience with Bishop Woods and the District so we can continue on our path of continuous improvement. Dress Code

I also want to thank all the parents and students for following and enforcing the spring/summer dress code. Even though we are not strictly enforcing the uniform policy this year, we still have a dress code. However, if students violate the non-negotiables, violations will be addressed, and parents will be called to bring a change of clothes. The non-negotiables are:

• No ripped pants of any kind, this means no patches, and no leggings underneath,

• No belly shirts, or short, shorts

• No Pajamas

• No hoods, do-rags, or skull masks.

Students spend time at recess and with Ms. Melissa for outdoor learning wearing open toed shoes and flip flops are a hazard and we don’t want students getting hurt.
