From the Principal!

STAAR Testing is in the books! We are so proud of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders for their hard work and concentration this week to give their best effort! For students who were absent this week, the make-up window for testing will continue through next week for them to take the tests they missed. Many have asked when results from the test will be shared and we are hoping to receive those from the state the week of the 23rd prior to letting out for summer break.

We have a lot of exciting events coming up in the next two weeks but also have plenty left to learn. Please encourage your students to continue working hard and finish the last nine weeks as strong as possible!

Please read through this newsletter for information regarding upcoming events as well as information on things happening around campus. As always, please reach out to us if we can help in any way. Have a wonderful weekend!

Library News!

ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE. If you find a library book lying around, please put it in your child's backpack so it can get returned.

If your child has lost a book, you do have options.

  1. You can pay the replacement cost of the book.
  2. Your child can read and record their reading times on a log (I have these in the library). For every 20 minutes of reading, they earn $1.00 off what they owe.
  3. You can purchase the same book, used as long as it is a hardcover and in good or better condition.

Even though our school library will be closed this summer, the Boerne Public Library is FANTASTIC! Please take your kiddos there this summer and let them explore the collection. They will never be bored as long as they have a good book in their hands.
