News From Mrs. Bethune:
Hello all,
We have had another exciting week at school. Thank you for all of your support with the situation last week. I was able to sit down with the new LPD chief for our area and find out more about what they are working on implementing. He will be coming back at a later date to meet with staff and talk about our emergency plan and steps as a staff we can take to better prevent and be prepared for these events. He also indicated he has ask more officers to just be present in the schools and the areas around them. Please know that we invite and encourage their presence in our area and school as this creates and united front for school safety.
On Wednesday of this week we sent home an important letter that outlines a wonderful grant we have received and how that will affect the school in regards to a new exciting Literacy series and a staff training day. Please make sure you read the letter and are aware of these new opportunities. https://stpatricklincolnschool.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Dillion-Grant-Letter.pdf
If you have not signed up for clubs yet, you are not too late. Please see details listed below and get your child signed up using the sign up genius. Also please see the information on pick up and where the locations of the clubs will be. So far the clubs have been a huge success and we are only in week 1! Also please see the note about donations we are looking for in order to operate these clubs and help us out if you can.
Next week on Friday we will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Fatima. All are welcome to attend our all school living rosary at 2:15pm followed by a talk from Sr. Deanna about the events of the day and what we know now.
Have a great weekend and God Bless,
Mrs. Leah Bethune

IMPORTANT SPOOKGHETTI INFORMATION!!
The 6th Annual Spookghetti Supper is one week from today! We need everyone who plans to buy a meal to PLEASE RVSP to the survey link in this newsletter. If you do not, we stand the chance of not having enough spaghetti to feed your family. We use this survey to determine the amount of food that we purchase. Please do so right now, as we need to let Valentino’s know today what our order is. We also still need a lot more volunteers and trunk hosts to help make this event a successful one. Please see the SignUp link near the survey link. If you have any questions, please call Jill at 402-465-0313. We appreciate everyone’s support and we hope to see your family on the 13th!
Hector Barbosa has a new baby brother! Israel was born October 3. Congratulations to the Barbosa Family!
