Message from Dr. Reilly
Fridays are spirit days at Farney. We encourage students to join us in wearing a Farney spirit shirt every Friday, even if your child is learning from home. It would be awesome to see a classroom and Zoom screen filled with Falcon pride.
Thank you for your continued patience as our students and teachers learn to navigate all of the new technology. If your child is learning via Connect, please take a minute to review this document. We have put many helpful tools all in one place for your convenience.
Speaking of technology, did you know that parents can sign up to receive notifications when your student enters or exits the bus? All students have an RFID enabled ID badge. All you have to do is sign up in the parent portal. It is free of charge to all CFISD parents.
Finally, we are working on a way to easily share our morning announcements with students at school and at home. We will update you soon.

Return library books
We will start accepting library books from last year next week. If you have virtual students, you can drop off their library books at the front of the school. There will be a bucket outside with a sign that says return library books here.
If your student(s) are learning in person, they can bring their library books to school to return them. Thank you!
Welcome back Farney Falcons!!
What a great first week we had! It was such a joy to see familiar faces in the hallways of Farney once again! Transitioning back to some normalcy may take some time so please remember to make time for self-care and to process new information. We’re so excited to be back and look forward to a great year of learning!!
September Core Essential: Friendship
Friendship: Using your words and actions to show others you care.
Release of Information Forms
If you are needing Behavior Rating Scales completed or are wanting the school to communicate with an outside entity, private tutor, doctor etc. , you will need to complete a Release of Information Form for this school year. You can request this form through the counseling office. When asking teachers to complete Behavior Rating Scales, you will need to give one week’s notice to allow teachers ample time to complete the forms. These forms will be faxed directly to the doctor’s office and you will be notified once this is completed.
Credit By Exam
Although the application window has closed to be able to skip a grade for the current 20-21 school year, there are 2 opportunities available during the year to test to skip for the 21-22 school year. Please see the district website for testing dates and application deadlines..
The video below shows you how to log into Schoology. Below the video is information showing how to change your password.
