Spring Benchmark Assessments

Over the next week we will be administering the Spring AimswebPlus benchmark assessments to students . These assessments may be delivered remotely or in person. These brief Illinois Learning Standards aligned assessments evaluate student academic performance and growth in the areas of reading and mathematics. Specifically, depending on grade level, literacy measures will assess vocabulary, phonological awareness, word recognition, reading comprehension and reading fluency. Additionally, depending on grade level, numeracy measures will assess number sense, operations, algebraic thinking, measurement/data, geometry, fractions and ratios/proportions. The assessment results are used by teachers and administrators to assist with instructional planning and differentiation at the grade, classroom and student level.

REMINDER for In Person Families

Families need to use ParentVUE to self-certify that students coming on campus are free of COVID-like symptoms. Each school day families login to ParentVUE, you will see a screen asking you to self-certify that your child is symptom free. This must be done each day by 8:15 am prior to your child arriving at school. If this step is not completed and your child is at school, a health services staff member will call you to discuss your child’s health status. We ask that you please monitor your child’s health closely and keep them home if they aren’t feeling well. You can report your child’s absence using ParentVUE after completing the self-certification process.
