GOAL REMINDERS
As you write your goal, how will it affect students? Remember, our goal is to improve experiences for students. As you do this, one/many of the strategies will be what adults will do to make this happen.
How are you measuring your goal? If you have to create something, please make sure your timeline for when it's being created is reflected and what you need to gather happens in the near future. You'll want a baseline of data before you get too far into the year.

Conferences
I have asked everyone to share data. I'll have more information at staff meetings this week about this.
For many families, this might be the only time we invite them into their child's education. It's important for us to really think about what we want to share about each child.
I also ask you to remember, this might be one child you come across in your career. But please remember, they are the whole world to their parents. They may struggle in class, not have great manners, or be impatient with friends. However, it's so important to talk about what they can do. So I challenge you to think about what makes each child in your classroom an incredible learner?
At the end of the day, we should be able to share...
1 item we've noticed about each child
1 item they do well
data we've learned since we started
1 goal they can work to improve
*This is a lot for 15 minutes, which is why we'll be looking at 20 minute conferences for the next round.
