Kookaburras are native Australian birds

Kookaburras scientific name is Dacelo gigas. They belong to group of kingfishers.

Kookaburras live in Australia’s forests. The blue winged kookaburras live in the north of Australia. Kookaburras eat meat, insects, small birds, small snakes, frogs, fish, earthworms and caterpillars.

In the wild they live up to 20 years . Kookaaburras don't just laugh when the rain comes, they also laugh in the early mornings.
