Word of the Week - Amend
REMINDER: Each week we give six students a backpack with a gift certificate in it when they can tell us the word, what it means and use it correctly in a sentence.
Please post the word of the week green paper in your classroom.
Last week's winners for the word infrastructure: Emily Gamez, and Rebekah Simmons. I'm confident there are others, but I don't know who they are. I'll share next week.
Please take a minute to recognize these students if you have them in your class.
Information and Updates
May 2 - 6 is the week of the teacher. I thank each of you for your service to our students and to each other. We all have dedicated our professional lives to teaching others. What is great about that is that "others" includes each other. You have been wonderfully collaborative this year. You worked together to learn technology, to discuss important school wide issues, to help students you share and most importantly to share best practices. Thank you for being good teachers and great learners!
Please check your mailbox on Thursday or Friday for a small token of my appreciation.
Thank you all for your participation over the past two weeks during out SBAC testing and many school activities! Your help provided for successful experiences for our students, whether testing, being an olympian, listening to speakers or becoming a good digital citizen.
Please continue to give students passes when they leave your class. It does not matter where they are going, please give them a pass. The passes help us to ensure students are where they are supposed to be.
May is our busy month with AP and IB testing and end of year activities. We begin our activities with our annual Art Night on Thursday. Please stop by the 700 wing around 5:30 p.m to see all the wonderful creations by our talented students!
Saturday is our first annual schoolwide fundraiser: the Spring Social. You can still purchase a deeply discounted ticket (see Mr. Webb's flyers) and join us for an evening of fun at a ranch in La Quinta! The silent auction is getting more and more interesting each day. Dancing and dining under the stars, all to benefit you and our students!
