CBSD HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN
All students, staff members, and visitors are required to wear face coverings while inside our school building and on school buses. This was a result of the Order of the Acting Secretary and the new Health and Safety Plan, which was approved by the CBSD Board of Education on August 31, 2021.
Individuals, including students, staff, parents, and all visitors, who wish to request a mask exception must carefully review and submit the Central Bucks School District’s face covering exemption form. NO other form will be accepted for reason of exemption from the face-covering order. Please send the signed hard copy form to school with your child if they will not be wearing a mask.
All families are encouraged to have a conversation with their child around the topic of face coverings. Each child should understand proper mask-wearing behaviors, as well as your family's personal expectations. Our hope is that it will ensure students are following the directive of their parents while also following the procedures and guidelines put in place for all.
Please know teachers and staff will provide gentle reminders, to those students wearing masks, to keep them fitted correctly, covering the mouth and nose and not under their chin.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we move forward.
ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL:
YELLOW DOORS (main entrance): All students and visitors MUST enter though the yellow doors, which is our main entrance. If your child needs to be escorted into the building, please enter through the yellow doors, and check in with the office.
CAR RIDER LINE: To ensure the safety of our students and help maintain the flow of traffic during arrival and dismissal, we are asking the following:
~ Please pull up your vehicle as far as possible within the car rider line, without blocking the crosswalk, before your child leaves or enters your vehicle.
~ Please have your child ready to transition quickly out of your vehicle. BV staff are in place if needed, and we are kindly asking you to remain in your vehicle during drop off and pick up.
~ Please be mindful of where your child is entering the vehicle. If possible, your child should always enter your vehicle from the sidewalk.
~ Please be aware of vehicles passing your vehicle from further back in the car rider line when moving forward.
~ Please pay attention to adults and children using the crosswalk to and from our parking lot.
THANK YOU for your cooperation as we continue to focus on safety while creating a smooth arrival and dismissal process for all!
