Ms. Forbis' Weekly News
Every Child, Every Day, Whatever It Takes.
This Week
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held November 6th and 7th. Look for a parent teacher conference form to come home in your child's folder this Tuesday. Please return these forms in your child's folder no later than Friday, October 25th so I am able to send out conference confirmations.
I've had a few people ask about bringing things to the fall party. There is no obligation to donate, but If you would like to make a donation to the fall party chex mix we could use the following:
- Candy Corn
- pretzels
- M&M's
- marshmallows
- Chex Cereal
If you plan to attend the Fall Party on October 31st, please have your Volunteer Application returned to school by October 24th so it has time to process. Volunteer Applications are required to attend the Fall Party. If you have not let me know you or another family member will be attending please let me know.
If you plan to attend the Bradford Farms (Pumpkin Patch) Field Trip, you must have completed the FBI Background Check. Please do this by Monday, October 28th.
Information on Both Background Checks can be found below.

In regards to our upcoming field trip, we will need guardians who want to attend to do the full screened volunteer background check. These are $45 and last for 6 years, in any school in the district. If you are wanting to do this please call (573) 590-8000 and talk to Amanda Miles. If you are unable to pay please call Jen Meyerhoff at (573) 590-8050 first, as we do have some funding and may be able to help depending on numbers.
Fall Classroom Party
- Morning Class: 10:30-11:00
- Afternoon Class: 2:30-3:00
We will have activities in the classroom and a Special Guest (who has filled out a Volunteer Application) is welcome to participate.
In regards to our upcoming fall parties, we will need guardians who want to attend to do the district volunteer background check. This background check is free and is on our district website. It is also linked below. Please let me know if you would like a paper copy sent home. Let me know via REMIND if you send a completed form to school in a backpack as I don't check folders daily.
