8:45 AM - WICOR (Ireland)
9:15 AM - C&I Presentation (Kovacs & Gibson)
10:00 AM - Departmental Planning
12:00 PM - Lunch
1:30 PM - Departmental Planning
During departmental planning, please create a Google Doc for your agenda and minutes. Once you have it all cleaned up, please share it with me.
5th Grade ELA & Math teachers will need to create a list of students they plan to recommend for advanced classes to be shared with Mrs. Z by the end of the day.
6th Grade: Coach Fedora - April 11
We will do this like we did last year with the boys in the gym and the girls in the cafeteria. Please escort the boys to the gym beginning at 9:15. At 9:35, please escort the girls to the cafeteria. Coach Fedora will go from the gym to the cafeteria.
Once in the gym, Mr. Grande and I will supervise so teachers can go back to help escort the girls. Once the girls are in the cafeteria, everyone will need to wait until Coach Fedora comes in to speak. Mr. Grande and I will again supervise the girls while everyone escorts the boys back to class.
Counselor's Corner
6th grade teachers- on April 11 Mrs. Ireland and I are working on a mini career fair for that morning during testing.
For those 2 days kids will attend each class period only once. As soon as I finalize schedule I’ll send it but I will definitely have it by April 2.
Rocco's Corner
Please review the attached the presentation on recess supervision. The directive of separating teachers from each other, at positions on the perimeter of the students, remains the basic expectation.
This is not consistently being fulfilled and it is leading to injuries and incidents that could have been avoided with better supervision. Students should never be unsupervised during recess. All of them must always be within our lines of sight, no blind spots. When their play becomes dangerous we must redirect them immediately.
Also, teachers please be ready for Mr. Felder to count the textbooks that have been checked out to you on Monday 4/2/18.
SPED
Case managers will send out progress reports this Friday, March 23rd. Please respond and complete these reports by Thursday, March 29th.
Also, STAAR bags will make their way to your mailboxes later this week. If you have a student in your ELA or Math class with SpEd accommodations, please follow their STAAR accommodations page and submit the bag to Stephanie Johnson by noon on Monday, April 2nd. Please do not return the bags to my mailbox, please hand deliver the bags to room 223.
If you have any questions about a student's accommodations, please check with the case manager.
