AIMS Games

Welcome Message
The Zespri AIMS Games is a strategic partnership between the four Western Bay Intermediate Schools, Sport Bay of Plenty and the Tauranga City Council. The Zespri AIMS Games is a Tauranga City Council Legacy event. All individual and team sports are superbly organised and ran to a very high standard. We link with various local sporting clubs, Regional and National Sporting Organisations to achieve this.
The sporting championships give 11, 12 and 13 year olds an opportunity to compete as an individual or in a team against their age group in 23 different sports. Each of the sports offered in 2022 will be hosted in superb facilities.
The Tournament provides students equal opportunity to compete at an exemplar sporting event and to meet others from outside of their normal peer group, developing their social interaction skills.
In sixteen years, the Zespri AIMS Games have gone from a small festival of sport, to what are now considered the International Championships for Intermediate and Middle schools. Hand in hand with the growth, has been the emergence of the Zespri AIMS Games as a pathway, to sporting achievement and success. Since our inception in 2004 we have grown from 760 competitors representing 17 schools and four sporting codes to the 2019 Anchor AIMS Games where we embraced 11,500+ competitors representing 365+ schools from throughout New Zealand, Asia and the Pacific.

Building communities from the ground up
Any lasting structure has to be built on solid foundations. Since 1986 our commitment to delivering on time, on budget, on spec and safely, has helped us build an organisation whose unconditional focus is on providing excellent, end to end solutions at any scale, large or small.
Our investment in people and community, and our formation of true partnerships over time has allowed us to grow our individual and collective capability, and our knowledge base. There will never be a time when we stop learning, growing and giving back.
The excitement we feel with every project we undertake comes from the belief that we can make a positive impact on our customers, our team, our community and our environment.
We always have and always will hold ourselves to account against the challenge we’ve set ourselves, which is to keep striving for excellence and keep raising the bar to continuously set a new benchmark.
Getting on with the job is what we love doing, staying grounded while keeping a sense of ambition for ourselves and every community we serve.
