Grassroot Soccer at Temple University
Want to make a positive impact on society? Join Grassroot Soccer at Temple University, the first collegiate chapter of Grassroot Soccer Inc in the world. The purpose of Grassroot Soccer at Temple University is to educate, inspire, and mobilize communities to stop the spread of HIV. The mission of Grassroot Soccer is to provide constituents with the opportunity to learn about HIV/AIDS through educational and interactive events. We also look to provide a forum whereby students not familiar HIV/AIDS can learn more about the disease. No soccer knowledge or experience is required to make an impact!

HootaThon - Committee Members Wanted!
HootaThon, Temple University’s Dance Marathon, is currently looking for more committee members!
HootaThon is Temple University’s Dance Marathon through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®. We are raising funds and awareness for the Child Life Department at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, which benefits every child that ever needs care at CHOP. In November of 2013, the very first HootaThon took place from 7am-7pm in Mitten Hall at Temple University. After twelve hours of standing “For Those Who Can’t”, while dancing, playing games, and eating great food, Temple students raised over $60,000!; This a set a new first-year monetary record for Dance Marathon in the North East! We hope to surpass our total from last year this coming November at HootaThon 2014 while also increasing awareness of this great hospital on campus!
If you or someone you know is interested in joining HootaThon, please email us at hootathon@gmail.com or visit our website at hootathon.org to learn more!
