Parents on the Playground (POPS) Heros Needed
P.O.P.S. is a Twain Elementary program intended to provide positive role models (especially male role models but all parents and other adults are welcome) for our students and extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security, and prevent and reduce bullying on the playground. We believe parents and other adult relatives can make a big difference on the playground. The goal of our P.O.P.S. program is to promote a fun, healthy, safe, and inclusive recess experience for all of our students.
If you are interested in playing with kids and helping them build relationships with you as a positive role model and with other students, we want YOU! You can be somebody’s hero! By committing just an hour at a time to be out on the playground with students from all grade levels, you can help make a difference in the lives of all of our students.
If you would like to volunteer one hour of your day to volunteer for P.O.P.S., simply sign up on our SignUpGenius form. You’ll need to stop by the front office first (bring your drivers license) to check in and get your name tag.
