STA Open House Nights in January and February

Is your student interested in a Career in Medical, Engineering, or Technology?

Visiting the Summit Tech Academy Open House is a great way to help plan what classes you may need in order to be eligible their Junior or Senior year.

  • Three Open House Nights will be offered in late fall & early spring of the 2015-2016 school year. These two are left:
    • Thursday, January 14th, 2016
    • Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016


  • 6:00-6:30 PM- “Early Planners” Session for Middle Students and their Parents
  • 6:30-8:00 PM- Summit Technology Academy Classroom Open House
  • 6:30-7:00 PM & 7:00-7:30 PM Missouri Innovation Campus Presentation

Waiting List for 'Your World Empowered'

Students in grades 9-12th:
The information below is a great opportunity for students who are interested in a Career in Engineering. The December date filled up quickly, but we have spoken with a representative who mentioned they will be doing another event in April.
If you believe your student would benefit from this event, please contact Christa Fish at She will collect names and then notify you when more information is available.

Freshmen Year Timeline

The primary focus of your freshmen year should be on taking rigorous courses, keeping your grade point average up, and getting involved in extracurricular activities!

Winter (November-February)

___ Review sophomore timeline so you know what to look forward to next year.

___ Successfully pass all of your first semester classes. If there is anything you might have failed or need suggestions on how to study for finals, make an appointment with your counselor to find out suggestions and your options.

___ Review the Ray-Pec High School Career and Educational Planning Guide and update your Personal Plan of Study to start planning your sophomore year of high school.

___ Review the International Baccalaureate Program requirements and courses on the website in order to make sure you are in the right classes and meeting the requirements.

___ Meet with your counselor/advisor during enrollment to discuss your Personal Plan of Study, your post-secondary plans, college and career goals, or things you are uncertain about.
