On-Campus COVID-19 Preventative Health and Safety Procedures
Information and Guidance for Families
Included below is a summary of our return to campus protocols to ensure students, families, and staff health and safety.

Need to know what Cohort your child is in? Refer to the email sent out last week.
Cohort A- Your student will attend in-person instruction at Day Middle School on Tuesday and Wednesday, attending three periods each day from 8:15 am-12:40 pm. Students will attend intervention virtually 1:40 pm-3:00 pm from home on these days. Your student will attend school from home virtually Monday, Thursday, and Friday. (Start Date: The week of April 5th pending Riverside County Covid-19 rates meet state requirements for secondary school reopenings)
Cohort B-Your student will attend in-person instruction at Day Middle School on Thursday and Friday, attending three periods each day from 8:15 am-12:40 pm. Students will attend intervention virtually 1:40 pm-3:00 pm from home on these days. Your student will attend school from home virtually Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Online Instruction Model
Your student will attend school from home online from home Monday through Friday. They will continue to follow the current bell schedule for class and intervention.
All students will work virtually from home on Mondays. They are still required to check into Advisement (live online class 8:30 am - 9:00 am) and complete asynchronous work independently.

DAILY AT-HOME STUDENT CHECKLIST
- Check students temperature (Must be under 100 degrees) without the aid of fever-reducing medicine
- Bring student mask/face covering
- Bring student personal refillable water bottle
- Bring student district-issued or personal iPad, Chromebook, or other compatible learning devices with charging cord
- Bring student assigned instructional materials
- Have students eat a healthy breakfast

ARRIVAL AT SCHOOL AND DROP-OFF PROCEDURES

Gates will Open at 8:00
No student entry prior to 8:00
No parents on campus
Follow the usual route to drop your child off for school and be sure that everyone in the car is wearing a mask. Your child should exit the vehicle on their own.
*Only students and staff will be allowed on campus*
LEAVING CAMPUS - PICK-UP PROCEDURES
Students walking home will exit the outer gates, towards the ends of the campus, displayed with green signs.
LUNCH AND NUTRITION
GRAB AND GO MEALS
- Student meals will be available for distribution for TVUSD students every Monday at all six TVUSD middle schools.
- Parents can pick up 7-day meal packs between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Meal kits provided on Mondays will contain 7 lunches, 7 breakfasts, and enough fruits, vegetables, milk & juice for one complete week.
- TVUSD enrolled students do not have to be present. Parents can bring printout proof of enrollment from the Infinite Campus portal.
- Non-enrolled siblings under 18 years of age of enrolled TVUSD students may also receive meals. Non-enrolled siblings must be present.
- No meals will be provided on-campus *some limited exceptions may occur with the intervention schedule for middle schools and high schools.
SIGNAGE AND SITE WALKING PATTERNS
There will be foot marking patterns on the ground for students to follow as they enter and exit the campus and throughout the school grounds.
All students will have access to handwashing stations outside their classrooms.
Touchless hand sanitizer stations have been installed in each classroom and throughout the school buildings.
HEALTH OFFICE AND TRANSITION ROOM SPACES
Transition Room: Students who are ill will be evaluated in a separate room.
Routine Medical Needs: Students who take daily medication, need bandaids, etc. will receive medical attention in the health office/front office.
CUSTODIAL CLEANING
- Cleaning of frequently touched surfaces will be completed by all staff, frequently, and, as needed.
Classrooms and mutual spaces will be disinfected nightly by custodians with an electrostatic sprayer.
