Peek at the Week

Feed My Starving Children Tuesday Feb. 9th 12pm-2pm

We are excited to give back to others this year for Valentine's Day! Students are bring asked to bring in a $5 donation instead of valentines, to help with transportation to Feed My Starving Children. A permission slip went home on Friday and we do need several volunteers. If you are able to help please return the slip this week and I will contact you. This is an amazing opportunity to demonstrate our 4 C's as a grade! Thank you for your support.

Reminder about Snacks

Just a reminder that we do have a time for students to eat snacks in the afternoon. They are encouraged to bring in a healthy snack, or save something from lunch, as a way to provide a little more energy for the afternoon. If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks so much for your support in keeping our energy up during these long winter days!

Homework Sites

Xtra Math

Students should work on their fact skills at their own pace daily.

Spelling City

Our spelling words will be posted here weekly and students can use this as a place to practice their words.

IXL

Math skills are organized by standard and will be assigned in class and occasionally for homework.

Quizlet

I will add flashcards as we use them in class for Social Studies and other classes

Bedtime Math

Daily math activities are provided for a variety of ages. The site also includes parent blogs, games and other ideas for extending math at home. This is not homework, but an option for families and students at home.

Keyboarding Online

Students are practicing their keyboarding skills in school starting this month. They can practice lessons at home if they have time and access to a laptop or desktop computer.
