Book Wish List....

Are you looking for books? Do you have a favorite book? Is there something missing from our library collection? I'm taking suggestions for books to purchase. If you have a favorite book or author please let me know. I want to purchase things we need.

Looking for books on a certain level?

Look no further! Through the library catalog you can search by Lexile and Fountas and Pinnell. On the library search page there is a pull down menu at the bottom labeled reading programs. Click on the appropriate program and fill in the additional information. If you would like a mini lesson please stop by the library.

Wow!!! Please bring your students by to see the Book Character Pumpkin Patch. They will be on display in the library until October 29.

Read for the Record --- October 22, 2015

Jumpstart is working toward the day every child in America enters school prepared to succeed. This is the 10th Anniversary for Jumpstart's Read for the Record.

Many classes at Spring Creek read ...Not Norman, A Goldfish story, by Kelly Bennett.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you... I appreciate everyone who participated to help make this a new record. As soon as I have the totals from Jumpstart I will let you know.

Class set of iPads

Teachers, we have a class set of iPads that can be checked out from the library. Follow the steps below:

*Sign up on the SC iPad Checkout Calendar (I shared this through an email)

*The iPads are checked out for the day.

*Pick them up in the morning.

*Must be returned by 2:45 each day.

*If you need them for multiple days in a row...that is great, Please return them to the library each day. Also, make sure you sign up on the calendar for multiple days.

*If you do not need all iPads, you can sign up with a number. Like (Moritz - 10 iPads) then, someone else could sign up for the remaining iPads. We have a total of 25.

There are no apps downloaded to these iPads. So you will have to give yourself time to download the apps as well.

Students will return logs to the schools on January 6th.

The goal is have students read 250 pages in the month of December. If the student reaches their goal they will receive two free tickets to a basketball game.
