Shaw June Community Update
May 2023
Hello Shaw Families,
As we come to the end of another school year, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the continued support of our school community. Your partnership with us is essential to the success of your children, and we are grateful to be a part of your community.
This year has been a year of great accomplishments for our students. We moved into our new home, welcomed 3rd grade into the Shaw family, opened new outdoor areas, and laid the foundation for a strong sense of community among our students going forward. We are so proud of all that our students have achieved, and we know that they will continue to do great things in the years to come.
We would also like to thank our staff for their hard work and dedication. Our teachers are passionate about their work, and they are committed to providing our students with the best possible education. We are so grateful for their efforts, and we know that they are making a difference in the lives of our students.
As always, your input and support is very important to us. Please know our doors are always open to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
Regards,
Andrew Tuccio & Erin Rosenkranz

The event starts at 8am, and the race kicks off at 9:30am. If you are unable to participate in the race itself, we would love to have members of the community present to cheer on these hardworking girls.

From the 6th Grade Staff
To the staff, your hard work, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the success of our students have been remarkable. Your dedication to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment has created an atmosphere where students feel valued, supported, and empowered. Your collaboration, creativity, and tireless efforts have made a significant impact on the educational journey of our students. We are honored to work alongside such dedicated and passionate professionals.
To the students, we want to commend you for your hard work and determination in the face of adversity. You have shown resilience and adaptability as you navigated through the changes and disruptions caused by the upheaval of watching Elmwood close at distance as you left third grade, entered a building set for demolition within your tenure, to now leaving the learning space built for you. As we move forward, let us continue to set ambitious goals for ourselves and embrace new opportunities for learning and personal growth. Let us build upon the progress we have made and identify areas where we can challenge ourselves further. Our hope is that as you enter the junior high you can continue to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and reach new heights in our academic and personal pursuits.
To the Millbury Parents Club, thank you for your unwavering support in making our field trip to Nature’s Classroom possible. Your dedication to raising funds and organizing logistics has played a pivotal role in bringing back this cherished aspect of our educational program. Your commitment to the overall well-being and enrichment of our students is deeply appreciated, and we are grateful for your contributions.
To the parents, we want to acknowledge the tremendous challenges you have faced as you juggled work, family, and supporting your children's education during these last few tenuous years since COVID. Your partnership, cooperation, and patience have been instrumental in our collective success. As we conclude this academic year, we want to express our heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you. Thank you for your commitment, your hard work, and your belief in the power of education. Together, we have created an environment where students have flourished and grown into confident and capable individuals. It has been an honor and a privilege to be a part of this wonderful community. Wishing you all a restful and rejuvenating summer.
With sincere gratitude,
Grade 6 Staff
Shaw's Got Talent!
We are excited to be holding a Talent Show this year. We know this was done years ago, with much success and we wanted to bring it back! Below is some information about the talent show. - Talent acts will have a time limit of 3 minutes or less.
- All acts must be school appropriate and will be approved by the Talent Show committee.
- No lip-syncing acts, unless you are doing it while performing a choreographed dance.
