ColorCycle is also a great opportunity for teachers and their students to explore eco-friendly practices. Specially developed standards-based lesson plans are available to enrich instruction and promote lively class discussions.

Twitter Chats
Learn it Online
There are so many great things that we can learn online through social media. A fun way to get information fast is through Twitter chats. Twitter chats involve everyone involved to use a specific hashtag and answer questions.
A great website to use to help keep track of a chat is Tweet Deck. You will log in with the same log in you use for Twitter and then it allows you to search and follow specific hashtags as well as certain people. It really makes Twitter more manageable.
Some great general education chats are-
#edchat (Thursdays, 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET)
One of the first education chats, this popular chat has nine moderators and covers a broad range of topics. Find upcoming topics and read archived chats at edchat.pbworks.com.
#engchat (Monday, 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET)
Where English teachers share ideas, resources and inspiration.
#ISTEchat (Third Thursday, 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET)
Focuses on issues related to ed tech and the ISTE Standards.
#nt2t (Saturdays, 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET)
For educators who are new to Twitter.
#OK2Ask (every other Thursday, 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET)
Friendly chat with lots of classroom resources shared.
#satchat (Saturdays, 4:30 a.m. PT/7:30 a.m. ET)
For current and emerging school leaders, #satchat became so popular it spawned two geographically specific offshoot chats: #SatchatWC for West Coasters and #SatchatOC for educators living in Oceania (Indonesia, Polynesia, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, etc.).
#titletalk (last Sunday of every month at 7:0pm)
Discusses books and provides book recommendations.
