Tuesday, 1/19- Begin Interactive Notebooks; Reflecting and Evaluating Videos
Wednesday, 1/20 - Types of sentences in Interactive Notebook; Reread article on Affluenza Teen for writer's craft
Thursday, 1/21 - Continue types of sentences; Respond in writing to written text; notes on short answer question response
Friday, 1/22 - Sometimes You Win, Sometimes You Learn discussion; Revision and Editing Practice
Parent Information
This Thursday Night is the Bulldog Review. This is an excellent opportunity for you to come learn more about credits and graduation requirements. Information about this event is below:
Bulldog Review-Jan. 21st 6:00-8:00
RCHS will be hosting the Bulldog Review on Thursday, January 21st from 6:00-8:00 in the cafeteria and gyms. This exciting event is designed to allow all current 8th-11th graders to see all the course offerings at RCHS. Clubs and organizations will also be participating in this event and will be able to answer your questions about what they have to offer.
Counselors will conduct class meetings for parents and students to cover information that is important to each grade level. These meetings will take place in the Performing Arts Center. Current 8th graders 6:10-6:30, current 9th graders 6:40-7:00 Endorsement Review and Dual Credit, current 10th and 11th graders 7:10-8:00-Dual Credit, Pre AP/AP expectations, PSAT information, SAT/ACT and College readiness.

Semester Test Grades and Semester Averages are in parent portal. Be sure to to take a look at your child's grades. Students must have maintained a semester average above 70 to earn credit for English I.

Tutoring This Week
I have a meeting after school everyday this week so after school tutoring will not be available. I will be available Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings for those that need help.
