Remember - we have a Professional Development Day scheduled for our staff next Friday - this means children will not attend therapy.

We have a fun day of training planned for our teams, including brushing up on necessary policies and procedures, some different ways to make reinforcement even better, and some extra info on our math curriculum. There will be no early release day next week, as we will take some of our PD Day time to do any additional weekly cleaning.

We do have an opening available for a child in Burton to receive therapy beginning in August or September. Some parents have expressed concerns about what might happen with therapy if our state or region moves back to Phase 3 of the MI Safe Start Plan. We want to reassure you that our plan is to remain open if at all possible. With all of the cleaning and changes in infection control policies that we've implemented, we feel much more confident in our ability to keep everyone safe and healthy. Of course, we will respect any family's individual decision to change their schedule if there are changes with respect to the coronavirus in our state or region. Please remember that we have small numbers of children and staff in each building, with no more than ten children ever receiving services at one time in either building. While plans may change for schools in the fall, we are not a school, so those changes don't affect us directly. Please reach out to your BCBA directly if you have any concerns regarding your schedule, but know that our plan is to continue providing safe high-quality therapy for your child. We will of course, continue to communicate and update you if anything should change.

The theme for August is farm/garden. Our kids will be playing with gardening tools, toy tractors, and toy farm sets. We'll plant some seeds and play in the dirt!
