The mission of Longfellow Elementary School

Our mission is to partner with families to empower students to excel.

No school November 25 through November 27

There will be no school Wednesday November 25, Thursday November 26, and Friday November 27 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The office will also be closed. School will resume on Monday, November 30.

Drop off locations in the morning

We are still seeing parents dropping off kids in the bus loop when their assigned door (#14 and #15) is on 29th Ave N. This is causing a traffic jam in the bus loop since those cars are not pulling all the way forward. Please use 29th Ave N if you are dropping off students for door #14 and #15 (Grades K,1, 4 and 5). The bus loop is for door #22 drop offs only (Grades 2 and 3).

Fargo Public Schools 2019-20 Annual Report

Fargo Public Schools 2019-20 Annual Report

As evidence of Fargo Public Schools’ commitment to our patrons, the FPS 2019-20 Annual Report is now available. It showcases the qualities and services of our school district and provides a wide array of information to familiarize families and the community with Fargo Public Schools. Report details include enrollment, staffing, and budget numbers. It also gives overviews of student services and student assessment data. Thank you for your continued support as we serve the citizens of Fargo by providing students an excellent educational experience. You can access the full document at this link.

Breakfast orders due by 6 am each day

If you want a grab and go breakfast item for your child, please put in the order by 6 am each day but no sooner than the afternoon before. We've been getting breakfast orders for students after 6 am and our cook doesn't get enough supplies for last minute orders.

Here's the link to order a grab and go breakfast

Technology Support

Fargo Public Schools understands that distance learning and additional technology can sometimes be difficult to navigate. If students and parents need help, they can call the support line at 701.446.1450 or email helpdesk@fargo.k12.nd.us. Technology support is available Monday through Thursday from 7:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Fridays from 7:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

ATTENDANCE INFORMATION

Please help us with our daily attendance by calling the school if your child is absent or will be leaving early. By calling the school we are able to insure that your child is safe and accounted for each day.

Please call the office ( 446-5051) or email Patty Edlund at edlunpa@fargo.k12.nd.us.

If your child arrives at school after the bell rings at 8:30AM, they will need to stop at the office to get a tardy slip before going to the classroom.

Student items drop off

If you have to drop off a forgotten item during school hours we have a drop box inside the entry way of our main office (door #22). Ring the doorbell located on the brick wall to the left of the doors and we'll buzz you in. You can put the item in the box without having to enter the office. If you could label the item with the student's name that would be appreciated as delivery may not occur right away. Thanks!
