Thank you to Ballard for assisting Johnson and Umphlette with the United Way Fundraiser, which was quite a success!

Quarterly Assessments
They are a great data point for students and parents to know. Consider how you are sharing this information with students and parents since it is not part of the report card but is a great piece of information.
Report Card Recognitions
Academic Excellence
Students will receive a gold seal for earning 4 or more APs in any core academic area with no DPs or Ns anywhere on the report card.
Extraordinary Lion
Students will receive a sticker for earning 3 or more APs in any strand of Productivity, Citizenship, and Participation and Collaboration.
Attendance **New this Year**
Every student will have their attendance highlighted with green, yellow, or red/pink. The highlights will have the following meaning:
Green - 2 or fewer absences
Yellow - 3-4 absences
Red/Pink - 5 or more absences
Students who are chronically absent are defined as missing 18 or more days in the school year, so we want parents to be informed. Teachers, please assist students with making a goal for themselves for the upcoming quarter if they are in the red/pink zone in quarter one.
Parents will get an information sheet that will accompany the report card outlining all above recognitions.

Amazing Race - WE NEED YOU!
