We already know that sleep is important, because you will be tired. I will explain more of why sleep is important,How you can help your sleep, and foods that help you sleep
Why sleep helps you?
During sleep, your body is working to support healthy brain function and keep your physical health because sleep is involved in healing and repairing of your heart and your blood vessels. In kids or teenagers, sleep can also help support your growth.
What can happen if you don't get enough sleep?
- If you don't get enough sleep you could become depressed.
- Lack of sleep can increase your hunger and appetite, which means you get hungrier and eat more.
- Not getting enough sleep can hurt your immune system which can you get sick easier.
- Not getting enough sleep can also increase the risk or heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and stroke.
Ways to help your sleep
- One way to get better sleep is to sleep and to wake up at the same time everyday because it helps you not toss and turn when you go to sleep, and you should wake up the same time everyday without an alarm.
- Avoid any bright lights like Computers, Mobile Devices, TVs, etc, within 2 hours of bedtime because it can interfere with your sleep and body's rhythm.
Cereal
It can give you a better sleep because of the 2 component, carbohydrates which comes from cereal and Calcium which comes from the milk.
Cherry Juice
A glass of cherry juice can help you sleep quicker. Found by Researchers from Louisiana State University in US found that drinking Cherry Juice twice a day for 2 weeks helped increase sleep time by nearly 90 minutes!
Cheese and Crackers
People think warm milk makes you sleep faster but all dairy products make you sleep faster. Cause in all dairy products there is Calcium.
