Leveraging ePortfolios for Integrative Learning
ePortfolios can promote integration and transfer of knowledge, skills, and abilities from a range of courses spanning the disciplines - i.e. as part of the Core - and facilitate student engagement with their own learning across multi-year degree programs. In this workshop we will discuss the design of effective e-portfolio activities that encourage integrative learning.

Diversity is an essential component of our personal and professional lives. Yet, so many of us shy away from embracing and addressing the full diversity that our university has to offer. In this workshop, we will discuss the impact of stereotype threat and identity threat on student learning and explore tools/strategies that can help us create a more inclusive classroom experience for all.

Reacting to the Past
Registration Deadline: March 1, 2019
Join us for an extended workshop to discover the award-winning pedagogy "Reacting to the Past."
In this game-based learning strategy, students take on the roles of historical actors in a structured game. In their role they deliver speeches, write essays, and collaborate with allies and opponents alike. During this workshop experienced Georgia Southern "Reactors" will provide an overview of the concept before taking us to Athens 405 BCE as we play "Athens Besieged: Debating Surrender."
Friday, March 8 from 10 am-12 pm in Nessmith-Lane 2904 & 2911 (Statesboro)
We hope you join us in this exploration! Lunch will be provided by Norton Publishing.
