*CHANGE IN ELEMENTARY ARRIVAL CAR LINE*

Recap of Elementary Arrival Procedures and a CHANGE upcoming for parents to make note of:

  • School doors open for arrival at 7:00 am.
  • From 7:00 am-7:35 am all elementary students hold in the cafeterias.
  • If a student needs breakfast, we ask that they are dropped off no later than 7:30am to ensure they have enough time to get food and eat before teachers pick their students up at 7:35am from the cafeterias.
  • The elementary drop off area is in front of the main elementary building. Students in grades K-5 should not be dropped off at the main office area and asked to walk to the elementary entrance. With two car lanes by the main entrance, student safety cannot be assured.
  • Parents should pull all the way up to the first white outlined vehicle space next to the Elementary sidewalk labelled #7. This allows for more students to be dropped off on the sidewalk at one time.
  • Students should exit from their car if pulled up next to the awning all the way down the sidewalk, not just the first couple of spots by the entrance. This allows us to unload more cars each round.
  • The last arrival bell rings at 7:45am, and students should be in their classroom by that time. If a student is late, an adult has to check them into the front office.
  • Change starting 10/31- Due to the number of parents that drop off students between 7:30-7:45am, traffic is at a standstill multiple times a week. This is due to so many cars wanting to turn left when exiting the parking lot. Starting on Monday 10/31, ALL cars leaving the Elementary car rider line will be instructed to turn right on Old Hwy 99 starting at 7:30am in order to keep the car rider line moving.

We thank you for your help and patience as we try to make arrival as efficient and safe for your students as possible. If you have any further questions please feel free to call or email.

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures update

We would like to remind parents of a few procedures in regards to arrival and dismissal.

First, As you are aware, we are growing and the car rider line is getting long and takes a little bit to get through. We ask that you stay in your car whether picking up or dropping off so that our line can move quickly and efficiently. We do have staff available in that area to help young kids load and unload as well if needed. We ask that you please practice loading and unloading as well as buckling up with your child to help with this process. If you do need to buckle your young child after picking them up at dismissal, we ask that you pull into the lower parking lot in front of the pick-up area so the line can keep moving.

Second, If your child is not a normal bus rider and is riding the bus home with a friend, we have to have a note from a parent with a phone number that we can call and verify the note before they will be allowed to ride the bus. These notes need to be turned in to the teacher as early as possible so that we have time to verify before getting ready for dismissal.

Third, The school bell rings at 7:45 am and kids should be in class by that time. If a student is late they have to be checked into school in the front office.

Lastly, if you want your child to eat breakfast, please drop them off before 7:30 am so they have time to eat before moving to their classroom.

We thank you for your help and patience and if you have any further questions please feel free to call or email.
