Some helpful reminders...
- Please send any changes in transportation with your child in the morning, if possible. This gives the teachers an opportunity to remind your child, if appropriate.
- Remind your child of any changes.
- If you need to make a change, please try to call before 3:00 if possible to help with end of day coordination.
- Keep your pick up number displayed in your car until your child comes to your vehicle. This assists our helpers in getting your child to your car as quickly and safely as possible.
- Continue to pull all the way forward. This helps tremendously in getting all the cars through the line quickly and safely.
NEXT MEETING: January 4 @ 6:30

DIRECT YOUR DOLLARS - SpartanNash Receipts
Emmons Lake has the opportunity to earn $1000 from SpartanNash, simply by shopping at any local company-owned store, including Family Fare Supermarkets, D&W Fresh Markets and Hardings Grocery and sending the receipt to school! This is VERY helpful, especially this year because we are unable to have any fundraisers thus far and we didn't have any at the end of last year!! Through the “Direct Your Dollars” program, we can turn eligible receipts into cash for our school! Just send your receipts to school with your child to give to his/her teacher. For every $150,000 in receipts we collect, we will earn a $1,000 donation from SpartanNash. We do need original receipts, so no photocopies. Start sending in those receipts!! We’ll collect them throughout the year. With your support – and your receipts – we’ll be raising money for our school. It’s easy to do!!!!

Message from the Principal...
Leo Buscalgia said it well...."Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."
When I read these words, I can't help but think of this community and the kindness that abounds. The staff at Emmons Lake who show up everyday doing all the little and big things to care for our students and community. The students who arrive to school, wide smiles, listening ears, and open hearts to learning, growing, and helping others. Most of all, to each of you...our families. To every pesron who has sent a kind note, a friendly wave, or just spoke with grace on the phone with our amazing office staff...we see it, feel it, and appreciate it. Thank you for your continued kindness and support.
While kindness definitely warms our hearts, it is still COLD outside as winter has officially arrived in Michigan! As the temperatures drop and the snow falls, thank you for helping your child come to school dressed for the weather. If you do have any winter weather gear you'd like to donate, we would greatly appreciate it for our lending lockers.
Don't forget that there is no school for our students on Monday, January 17. Our staff will be engaged in professional development during that day and we look forward to seeing our students again on Tuesday.
As always, we hope you remember...
You are appreciated.
You are loved.
You matter.
Grateful to Serve With You,
Mrs. Schultz
