May 2019
From the Principal
Students:
They are the reason we are here. We held the last concert of the year and it turned out to be very entertaining. Vocal music had several combinations of students with a variety of songs. Students did a good job of presenting the music and keeping the flow going. The instrumental concert had several combos, large groups, and the ever-popular Thunderbeats. Good times.
Track season- another story with the weather. We have had to jumble track meet, move practices and try to keep the momentum going. Currently waiting on the decision on when and where to have the League meet. Fingers crossed the weather cooperates.
Each grade level is in the works of planning for the end of the year activities. 7th grade has assembled an amazing group of volunteers, vendors and professionals for their “Down on the Farm” day. Former teacher Traci Wilson that now owns Rock Creek Lodge has graciously allowed us to use the property for the day and is 100% involved with the planning. May 10th is the field trip- if your schedule allows please join them at Rock Creek Lodge. 8th grade is busy with the planning of the color war, staff/student games, promotion practice, and other fun things. Busy busy time!!!
Overall this year has been one that students have shown tremendous growth, not only with academics but with their personal development. We have enjoyed working with each one and are ready to press the reset button for preparation of next school year. Thank you for your support throughout the year.
It’s a Great day to be a T-Bird.

End of the year note from the 7th-grade team
The end of the year is quickly approaching. Please encourage your student(s) to continue working in his/her classes and to finish the year strong. Thank you, 7th-grade parents, for sharing your sons and daughters with us this year. It's been a privilege to watch each of them adjust to life as a middle school student, balancing more responsibility, extra-curricular activities, academics, and navigating the social scene. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be a part of this.
