Meadowbrook News

From Mrs. Sawatzky
Good afternoon Meadowbrook,
It was so good to be back together this week! It was great to connect with so many of you last week during conferences. Thank you for taking an active role in your child's learning!
This week some of our students have been celebrating Diwali. Diwali is a festival of lights and one of the major festivals celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists. The festival usually lasts five days and is celebrated during the Hindu lunisolar month Kartika. Diwali symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. To our families celebrating, I hope you had a happy, safe, and blessed Diwali!
With Halloween on Monday, I feel inclined to remind you that we do not allow students to wear costumes at school. Thank you for understanding.
In partnership,
Natalie
