Teen Book Con
TBC has grown again this year with even more teens attending!
Alvin ISD
Fairview Junior High and Alvin High School brought almost 40 students to Teen Book Con.
Food Trucks
The food trucks are always a big hit with the students at TBC. I love that they are reading while waiting in line!
Accelerated Reader Points
So far this year, we have Dustin Lozano, 6th grade, with the most AR points earning 689.3, followed by Efrain Jimenez, 8th grade, with 670 points, and Emily Morris, 7th grade, with 181.5 points.
Library Statistics
For the month of March, we had Elbryan Evans, 7th grade, and Jacob Robinson, 6th grade, tied for the most checkouts with 27 books each!
Mrs. Reynolds class checked out the most books this month with 216.
Even with being closed four days for testing, we saw almost 700 students this month.
NascAR Reading Challenge
We have seen a lot of movement in the race cars lately with the March AR challenge to tape the Administrators to the wall! Currently we have 8th grade in the lead with 3,651.9 points teachers/staff in 2nd place with 3,331.1 points, 6th graders closing in with 3,059.0 points, and 7th grade in 4th place with 2,171.9 points.
