District 103
SeeSaw Incident Update
Good afternoon D103 Parent/Guardian,
We wanted to provide you with an update on the SeeSaw incident reported this morning.
First it's important for you to know that there have not been any reports of the inappropriate image ever being available to, or being viewed by any students. The issue occurred through the messaging feature, and is reported to only have included parent and staff visibility.
Recent updates from SeeSaw have included steps that they are taking to resolve the situation, such as eliminating the image and any links to it, and fixing the compromised account issue that they have labeled as the cause of the incident.
The most recent update states that SeeSaw has again turned off all messaging features across their platform and are continuing to monitor and investigate the issue. With this in mind, we will keep limiting access to SeeSaw until we hear more from the company.
We encourage the use of strong passwords to make it more difficult for anyone to break into digital accounts. If you would like to know more about creating strong passwords, please check out the article from Norton, a leading company for digital security.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you.
