Special Education Appreciation Event!
Attention families of students with special needs! Is there a special CCPS staff member your student or family wants to thank? It’s time for the 5th Annual Staff Appreciation Event: The World Needs Smore Staff Like CCPS! This is the 5th year the event has been sponsored by the Special Education Citizens Advisory Committee (SECAC).
Students with special needs or their families may nominate a staff member (teacher, administrator, instructional assistant, staff from food services, transportation, health services; anyone who works at CCPS) who has had an impact on them.
To nominate, please use the nomination form OR email Christina Clark, Family Support Coordinator, clark.christina@ccpsstaff.org, 410-479-3609
Deadline for Nominations: April 15, 2022
An upcoming live webinar is planned for families of students with IEPs, ages 14 to 21, grades 7 through 12. Families will learn what services are available to students whether they are earning a diploma or a certificate of completion. The webinar will also cover how agencies can assist their children now and as they prepare to move from school to the 'real world'.

Edmentum/Exact Path Update
We have partnered with Edmentum again this year utilizing Exact Path and their
Academic Coaches to monitor, guide and support your students in closing learning gaps
and increasing their growth in Math, Reading and/or Language Arts. Parents of
students who were recommended for the program have received an email and phone
call from Exact Path (Edmentum) Academic Coaches and are asked to complete an info
session in order for your student to start using the program. You can schedule this
session by emailing the Academic Coaches ExactPathTutoring@CCPS.org.
