Jazz was influenced by African American culture.jazz was a popular band.they would use saxophones,pianos,trombones,and even violins. A couple famous people were Duke Ellington,Louis Armstrong, and Bessie Smith.They would also sing.One musician was named Luie Armstrong.One song he wrote was called," What a Wonderful World." Another musician in that time was called Bessie Smith. A song she wrote was called," Emty Bed Blues."

The 19th amendment was passed in 1920 to give all women the right to vote. It was a result of the contributions women made during the Great War.

The Harlem Renaissance

The Harlem Renaissance was when a lot of African Ameriacans started making art and Jazz.It was an African American culture movement of the 1920's and the 1930's,centered in Harlem,New York, that celebrated black traditions,the black voice,and black ways of life. A message the African Americans shared was writings,music, and painting to share their ideas and their way of life. Another thing they shared was their work to call for an end to discrimination. The third thing they shared were poems, books,and plays of the lives of African Americans.

The radio helped common culture because people could now listen to sport games on the radio. Before the radio was invented people would have to go to the games, but now they don't.
