Volusia County Schools Attendance Policy
Good school attendance is the strongest predictor of academic success. Please remember that:
- The school day begins promptly at 7:55 AM; all students entering the classroom after that will be marked tardy.
- Students who come in late must be checked in by a parent/guardian at the front office.
- Every 5 tardies = 1 unexcused absences
- After 15 absences period, all future absences will require a doctor’s note to be excused
- 15 unexcused absences within a 90 day period = attendance referral to the school social worker”

The Court Report
Things are happening all over out on the courts and field. Coach Farmer is running his soccer unit and the kids are all over kicking soccer balls and learning the skills of the game. Coach Washburn has been working on kicking a football and playing court games while Coach Warfield has been teaching teamwork and how to build a Hula Hut with the hoops.
For the safety of your child Remember to wear closed toe and heeled shoes at school. Sneakers work best on PE Days.
We will be fitness testing in a few weeks and the kids are working hard to get faster and stronger so they improve their scores from the fall.
