**Jaguars Lead the Way** 7/28/20 Vol. 1
Message from the Principal
We have successfully completed our Summer Bridge for the 20-21 School Year. It was an amazing opportunity for both students and staff to engage in academic learning, community building, and to establish vital relationships with other Jaguars. If you did not have a chance to join us, please make sure that you do not miss out on future opportunities!
Leading the way for our Jaguar Staff this summer were Mr. Toney and Ms. Fuentes who both dedicated their time and commitment to our incoming class of 2024. If you see one of these teachers in your google classrooms, please ask them about their experience as they will be happy to share. We also had the pleasure to welcome our upperclassmen transfers who will be joining the Jaguar family this upcoming school year.
I hope that you are enjoying your summer and I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of a few important things. Our first day of school is Monday, August 10th and we will start the year via remote learning. Also, please note that school will start at 8:30 am for this entire school year of 20-21.
It is important that you spend these last two weeks reading a good book, practicing healthy habits, and making efforts to "normalize" your sleep schedule. Please make sure that you continue social distancing and wearing a mask, as we would like to see every Jaguar healthy when returning back to campus later in the school year. In your next newsletter, you will receive information regarding your class schedules and more information regarding upcoming events. If you have any questions please email me at rpalomo@sjrcla.org. I look forward to hearing from everyone before the start of school.
