In conjunction with this celebration, qualifying students school-wide will have the opportunity to participate in our Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) Valentine's Day Incentive. Honor roll students will have the opportunity to enjoy additional time at this exciting event as a special acknowledgement of their achievement.
Be on the look out for your child's honor card application to ensure they don't miss out on this special opportunity to celebrate their academic and social success!

Instrumental Music Solo and Ensemble Festival Results!
On Friday, February 2nd, eight of our very talented instrumental music students performed at the PG County Solo & Ensemble Festival at Kenmoor Middle School. These students spent over a month preparing solos and duets to be judged at the event. The scoring system used to evaluate their performances assigns ratings of Superior, Excellent, Good, Fair and Poor. We are proud to announce that five of our students earned "Excellent" ratings and three earned "Superior" ratings. The three superior ratings also came with an invitation to the Maryland State Solo & Ensemble Festival in May. Please join us in congratulating them on an outstanding performance!

Teachers Earn National Board Certification!
Colleen Raville (Social Studies -Grade 7) and Stacey Wages (Reading/Language Arts-Grade 8) completed this challenging task in December 2017.
Every student deserves to be taught by an accomplished teacher. National Board Certification was designed to develop, retain and recognize accomplished teachers and to generate ongoing improvement in schools nationwide. It is the most respected professional certification available in K-12 education.
Kudos to Mrs. Raville and Ms.Wages, for this outstanding achievement! We are so proud to have you as part of our team!
