A Multicultural Organization Needs A Multicultural Approach

As the organization grows, so do the people and the diversity within it. With these changes, we must make sure that we are supporting the needs of each of our people as well as creating a culture that supports creativity, collaboration, and innovation. In order to do this, we are implementing the playspace--a place where we are all comfortable being ourselves and sharing ideas, regardless of background or level of role we play within the organization. As we focus on using the theories of adult learning to encourage growth in our people, we will see the use of innovative ideas such as the playspace.

It is our organization's mission to provide excellent client support, and to do so we must constantly grow and innovate ourselves to become a leader and maintain that leadership in our industry. Our vision as an organization is to see ourselves become a multinational organization, which means we must be able to collaborate with clients and organizations in other countries who have different cultures and backgrounds, and we want our own organization to represent that type of diversity. Our strategies include increasing our diversity, learning new techniques and having new ideas in order to provide the support needed for a diverse group of clientele.

Challenges For The Playspace

Organizational and Employee Growth

The playspace will inevitably bring our workforce closer together by creating bonds within and among different departments, employees will feel safer and more confident sharing their ideas across departments and with leadership positions, and the ideas that come from these creative meetings will grow the organization.
