Celebrating our English Language Learners
As the school year has come to an end we wanted to take a moment to recognize the wonderful learning and work of our ELL students at Pleasant Street and around the district. This diverse, yet connected group, has produced skits, held book publishing and author tea events, marched in the River Rat parade, and played a big role in the Multi-Cultural Festival. In addition some students traveled to Harvard Forest, the Athol Historical Society, baked pies, and even had the opportunity to go kayaking courtesy of an educational enrichment grant from the Athol Royalston Educational Fund. Special recognition is due to Beth Gospodarek, our talented ELL teacher, who challenges and inspires students to be their best.
Please enjoy this short video highlighting our awesome ELLs created by Ms. Gospodarek.
