THANK YOU from the 6th grade!

The 6th graders would like to thank everyone for their support of their fundraising efforts. They have raised enough for all of them to go to camp in April! We appreciated all your purchases of bake sale goods, tri-tip dinners, raffle tickets, ice cream sales, See's candy, and dine and donates. The torch has been officially passed to the current 5th graders to prepare for their fundraising programs. Thank you from the Class of 2019! Woo woo!

Our Parent Survey is LIVE!

Please take a few moments to complete our annual parent survey. We are hoping for one response per family. Here’s the link: Once completed, students can turn in the half sheet sent home on 1/30 to their teacher. For extra credit, take a selfie with the completed form so we can use it to encourage others to participate! Send your selfie to Mrs. Fadeji: Rumor has it there may be some prizes for the class with the most participation. In our record year (2016-17), we had 131 responses but this year, we’re hoping for 200! Thank you in advance for participating!

Winter art is in full effect!

If you haven’t seen it already, come check out our winter art display in the office hallway! Featuring all grades we have winter landscapes, penguins, snowflakes, gingerbread houses, winter birch trees, snowman shadows, and snow globes. Enjoy!

"Google Doodle" contest!

Every year Google does a contest looking for youth to create their Google logo in a creative way. This year's theme is "When I grow up, I hope ...". They want to know what our children hope for their futures. Classroom on Mars? Flying shoes? Food for everyone? Time machines? Cleaner water?

Any medium can be used for their art. Relevant grade categories for Penngrove students are: K-3, 4-5, and 6-7. Grand prize gets $30K college scholarship, $50K technology package for their school, trip to Google campus, etc. Runners up can get $5K college scholarships and other prizes. And of course their art will be featured on the Google home page! (Last year's winner was only 7 years old!)

Entries must be received by March 18, 2019. For contest rules and more information on what they are looking for, details are here:
