Thanksgiving is here!
To celebrate Thanksgiving, not only am I very excited to see family and eat a lot of awesome food, but I also reflect on my life and what I am thankful for. I am very thankful for my family who supports the job I truly love. I am thankful for all of the students who dedicate time in being musicians, I am thankful for the Band Parents who dedicate so much time in help the students and the overall program. Many times stress and other events get in the way to really be able to reflect and be thankful for the things you have in life. This is one of the reason I enjoy this holiday. Thank you to all who are a part of the Midview Band Program!

Required Concert Attire
- plain black dress button up shirt (no designs or patterns)
- plain black dress pants (NOT leggings)
- plain black dress socks (crew length)
- black dress shoes (or your dinkles).
This proper attire is required be worn at ALL concert band performances and will be part of your 100 point performance grade. Please plan ahead

Evening with the Band
This night we combine a fundraiser with the December concert (16th @ 7:00pm). That evening you can purchase a ticket for $7 to sit at a beautifully decorated round table and munch on popcorn, eat desserts, and have a water, coffee or hot chocolate. There will also be poinsettias for purchase, and tables full of things to raffle off.
It is time to showcase your talents for our raffle table! Whether your talent is asking for item donations (or donated raffle baskets from companies), securing gift cards, crafting things, or cooking/baking things we could use your help! Start thinking of things now that you would like to bring to be a part of our raffle portion of the evening. Tickets for the various raffle items can be purchased that evening. The monies raised are to be used for:
- Uniform Replacement/Repair *Instrument Repair or Purchase
- Music Purchases *Offset Costs of Transportation
All other needs for that evening are listed on SignUp Genius. Please visit the site and sign up. We have tried to divide it up into many smaller parts so that no one person has to do too much. Many hands make light work!
On November 12th at the Marching Band Awards evening, you will be able to reserve your seats and order poinsettias. It is not the only time you will be able to, but tickets are available on a first come first serve basis due to the room available to us in the gym. This night is the ONLY time cash will be accepted. After this night only checks will be taken.
