Halloween Safety Tips
KNOW WHAT YOU'RE EATING: Have your candy inspected by a trusted adult.
STOP AT WELL-LIT HOMES: Stay clear of dark houses.
STAY WITH YOUR CREW: Never accept rides from strangers.
SAFETY IN NUMBERS: Travel in groups and have the route mapped out ahead of time.
AVOID THE STREET: Walk on sidewalks and the far edge of the road to stay safe.

Sonny Day Community Center

Fall Sports Update
Boy's basketball will begin their season next week with the Township Jamboree. That event will take place on Wednesday, October 31, at 5:30 pm at Warren Central High School. Each grade level will play 2 quarters against Raymond Park and Stonybrook. The official season tips off at home on Monday, November 5, against Fall Creek Valley at 5:30 pm.
Track pre-season conditioning will start next week. Anyone who is not currently in a sport and wants to gain some endurance before the season needs to plan on participating. Conditioning will take place on Tuesdays after school until 4:30 pm. Athletes staying after school will be expected to ride the activity buses home that night. How important is attendance for student success?
We do understand that there are situations that arise where an absence can't be prevented. Please help communicate those reasons to the school by calling the main line at 532-6800 between 6:00-7:00 a.m. to report the absence.
Excused Absences Include:
1. Personal illness or injury (please drop off physician's notes to front desk)
2. Death in the immediate family
3. Attendance at a family funeral
4. Religious observances required by church officials
5. Serving as a page in the legislature
6. Court appearance/court detention
7. Working at polls
