It's prime season for TNT Soccer sign-ups. This year's camp will be July 18-22 from 8:30-11:30 in the mornings. I would love to see some familiar faces (girls and boys entering grades 1-8) back again this summer for camp. It's a great week, and we have tons of fun learning the skills necessary for individual and team play. Please forward this flyer to anybody in our community you think might be interested. The more the merrier! Here's a quick summary of TNT Soccer.

It began the summer of 1994, just after I graduated high school. My dad (the original Mr. T. who taught in the high school at RC and began the soccer program in 1973) thought it would be a great addition to the summer, especially during that summer since the World Cup was in the U.S. I even went with him to a U.S. versus Brazil soccer game at Stanford stadium that June. I was one of his coaches and took my own group of about 10 players and taught them the drills and games he had created. It was a formative experience in my life, and in no small way did it contribute to my desire to teach and coach.

In 2001, after college and 3 years of teaching in the Bay Area, I moved back to Ripon and began teaching and coaching soccer at RC. My dad was happy to hand the soccer camp over to me as well, and I have had the privilege of getting to know many young students and players over the years. In fact, many of the high school guys and girls on our school's 2014 league and section championship teams have been through the camp from 1st through 8th grade. Some of them will be my coaches again this summer!

I have continued to revamp the drills and games so that the players can stretch themselves and their teammates throughout the week and into their Ripon recreation and middle school soccer seasons.

It's our 23rd annual TNT Soccer Camp, and I'd love to see you there. Invite your friends (just forward this flyer). Click on the registration button above.
